...Playing around with various shaders.
What is not seen is my failed attempt at a starfield.
Keep trying.
About these "golf balls" - they resemble broken dinosaur eggs, I think. I like it. Good perspective, good lighting, and nice planet in the background.
I like some of the crazy displacement that happened to your fake stones. It might not be what you were looking for, but it did turn out well :).
Perhaps you could create a story about the weird stones - the broken dinasour eggs idea is good...
Did someone say Dinosaur eggs :-)
(Still working on this one)

good job man....are the cracked egg shells done in TG2??
No, they were done in an external editor - you can tell by the way the edges aren't curved. Nice image, by the way ;).
Neon! Sweet! All we need are a couple of T-Rex and a couple of triceratops.

lol
How many dinasours came from those eggs!?

How many dinasours came from those eggs!?
Well thats the trick isn't it. I am so trying NOT to put a dragon in there :-)
I figure its going to be something like:
"The Mating season is OVER" or
"Omelettes were on the menu YESTERDAY" or something like that :-)
Maybe a figure holding a BIG wooden spoon in FG.
Egg from Daz - somewhere - morphing eg I think.
Can't get to close - no smoothing
ONly 1 egg in there. aren't populations great... Newer version coming after weekend
Excerpt from Log (Exp17: day 33):
" Over the many seasons since our intervention the hatching ground has become quite crowded.
The best time to begin observation is in the early morning before the eggs warm up and start hatching.
(As you know from Day 7 and the events surrounding Emil's tragic demise, arriving late can be very hazardous.)
This is our last photo, taken as the fog lifts, on the day after the last eggs had hatched.
Overall its been a very successful season and we are all looking forward to next year's expedition.
Charles..."

I think putting anything in there would ruin the suspense. The cool thing about that visual is wondering
what came out of all those eggs. Your mind makes up a million little stories.
nice job and yes its good the way it is well done
Excellent. The only thing that throws me off is the sky directly above - the clouds look fake. Otherwise, it feels like an entrance to the land before time.
Here's another render with the stone shaders...

both great images, good job man :)
Regards,
Will
I like both your clouds and your stones. Good job.
Can't seem to stop playing with this one. :-)
But this is the last.
(Some errors in latest release - leaves part of the image out -also having problems with another file I'm working on - will add an entry in Support forum I think.)
(see top-left - block missing with floating rock,
and in middle-right mountain cutoff in sharp horiz line)
Anyway. mountains now have a bit more strata visible, the mud is a bit better, and I think the cloud layers are working better.
