Tried the new option but don't see 'wireframed' objects - how do you do this? Wireframed is selected for the preview window.
Wire frame has to be selected for the object/population and then from the preview window. At least that's how it works for me.
It works great for single objects. If you have 200,000+, I would use a distance shader to hide all but the foreground objects. This keeps the preview window more responsive.

Thanks Henry; but, I have the selection made - yet, no view of the object shows up in the preview.

Same question I think. You need to have wireframe mode enabled in both the 3D preview(a small button above it with a box on it) and in the object settings panel.
If you do already have both selected as wireframe, I've no idea.
