Title: TG4: NaN values in 2D Motion Vector files?
Post by: embeh on August 05, 2016, 01:39:17 PM
When rendering a sequence of frames with a 'Surface 2D Motion Vector' render elements saved to EXR, I keep having individual frames (example attached) that have a medium-sized square block of NaN values in the green channel, which messes up any 2D motion blur effect.

Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas what's causing it and how to fix it?

Thanks!

I haven't seen this before but I want to try to reproduce the problem. Can you share your render settings? You can copy and paste nodes as text, which is useful for posting settings to the forum.

Attached is the entire scene (very basic, just a simple animation test).

Thanks. I think it might be caused by Defer All Shading, but I'll try to get this working properly.
