Title: Image map edges
Post by: balteus on November 12, 2018, 04:00:04 PM
I have a couple of power fractals that I am using to colour my terrain. These are masked using an image map shader, but I am getting a strange coloured edge around the masked area. Well actually I think it is still within the mask and corresponds to the colour of one of the fractals. Any solutions for this so that I dont get that consistent edge?

You could try adjust the colour of your image map in the Image Map Shader so it's edges are harder. Soft edges while masking multiple PFs will cause them to double up and blend.

You can also use the Colour Adjust Shader and lower the White Point.

What format is the image you are using for masking? Is it a JPG?

I have tried both jpg and tiff.
Adjusting the colour does help.
thank you.
