So that's why they're not moving...
There must be a car chop shop nearby. ;D
Doesn't make any sense at all.

How can that not make sense? :o You know, all your base are belong to us? CATS has taken all your bases, someone has taken everyone's engines, they're not moving...
The original is "All your base are belong to us"

Ah, thank you for that link. I never knew - I'm old so I have to work on my sense of humor. Now it makes sense to me, I've never seen these signs or knew this was going on. BTW, I HAVE used the technique of appearing simple when I am when trying to dodge something... but my family usually takes the pain to make things clear. I are in charge I tell them, but they pay no attention. "edit" I was worried about the poor people on the highway "end-edit".

I already know that. Here's a link to a great animation for that phrase turned into a song:

WARNING: Two uses of the Finger. Very brief though.
I had heard of it but I had to ask my partner's son what it meant!

It's not a real photo. I faked it with Atom Smasher's Highway Sign Generator. http://atom.smasher.org/highway/

too bad its a fake, it would have been more interesting if someone actually went through the trouble to hack the marquee and put that message there.....
Thanks, TheBlackHole. Your name suited you, in this instance.
Ahh, had no idea, never seen that before, makes sense now. I was just reading it as written, completely incorrect grammer making no sense, as the link shows bad translation.

So you think I suck in "this instance"?
My uncle has been involved in a project installed Variable Message Signs ( VMS ) around NZ. The VMS display messages about road conditions such as certain passes being closed by snow, chains being required or high winds, that sort of thing. For his birthday a year or so back I did something similar to this for a birthday card by editing a photo of one of the signs in Photoshop to look like it was saying Happy Birthday. He showed it to a few people involved in the project and eventually a scan of it made its way to one of the top guys in the project. He actually thought my uncle had got someone to put the message on the sign and some quick talking had to be done to convince him it was just a doctored photo :-). Eventually he clicked when some pointed out the text was 7 rows high instead of the 6 they use on the signs, something like that anyway. Disaster averted, jobs safe :-).
Regards,
Jo
