Great work with the shoreline. I like the coral reef look. I would only vary the plant object color. Maybe give the island some sparser vegetation in some places.

I really would have taken that for an aerial photo. The lighting is excellent, and the water colour - great work!

Can you tell me how you got the blueness of the water? What were your settings? There was another render of a coral reef like sea, perhaps by you as well, which I'm trying to relocate now. I really like the 'coolness' of the water.

Could do that, but won't you loose transparency? There was a guy once who made this image. Same story. Or it is because the water is just so shallow? I'll do some more experimenting... thanks.

yes you are right....the water is shallow and you wont loose transparancy if you only apply the pf to the color function only...if you also apply volume density function and the water is very shallow then you are bound to loose transparancy. I have a render in progress that uses those functions and it should be ready in about half hour or so.....I will post it as soon as its done!
