HDR you think? I dunno ... I was thinking it looks more like an ND filter was used but angled so the gradient ended at the tree line.

Regardless, it looks very nice. The only thing I don't care for is the bright yellow sky on the horizon. It looks like highlight artifacting that RAW converters can create when you try to use the Highlight compression/recovery features and it doesn't have enough info to recover the blown highlights.

Other than that, and the white balance which seems too warm, I think it's beautiful.

Definitely an HDR processed image, you can see the "halo" where the tone mapping didn't quite mask things correctly around that tree. Overall I like the ground colors and contrast a lot better than the sky, which just looks kind of "dirty" and overprocessed. A nice image generally speaking though.
