Okay, so I want to produce a still image that portrays the effect of flying and would like motion blur, is this possible?

thanks

Couldn't resist  ;D
It's in the camera tab. Motion blur length by default set to 0.5. If you want more increase the value.
BUT: I think you need the animation module...

The motion blur is limited to camera motion at the moment but not object motion. So in your case this is ideal if the camera is moving but if the camera is static and an object is moving past the camera then it will not be motion blurred.

ps there's some small animations on my site that show Terragen 2 motion blur in action.

Hang on, motion blur is only with the Animation module?

Thanks.  This is useful information.

Oshyan

Yes, that's correct, motion blur requires the animation module (Deep + Animation version).

Question: Does this mean that, if the camera and any of its surroundings were moving together at the same rate and direction that they will still be motion blurred according to the camera's velocity and direction alone?

Oshyan

Interesting question Pablo, I'm honestly not sure...

There's no blur when you move the terrain only (2nd image)
There's blur though when you move the terrain AND camera at the same velocity (3rd image).
However, the blur-length/amount does not differ from when you use a moving camera only (compare 1st and 4th image).
See attached image:

Thanks for testing this Martin, now we know. ;D

Okay, can I pay for an upgrade to the animation module?

No, you can't,....you must ;) :P

Andrew March

So, I can't upgrade my Terragen to include the animation module, that absolutely sucks!
