Could any of you tell me the difference and advantages of GI relative detail and GI sample quality?

I don't know what i should say about the 2 post over mine here ,
but please have a look at these 2 sticky posts in the  "Terragen 2 Discussion" part of this forum:

There are other posts too but try to understand these ! If you do not understand some of them at first don't be afraid  :)
Make some test with TG2 with different setting , projects with different nodes etc.
In time you will have a better understanding of all of them.

And if you have problems you can ask here again  ;)

Most of the time leaving them unchecked is fine. If you are doing tight closeups of an object, then they come in play. 1 detail and 2 quality is enough, but sometimes 2 detail and 4 quality are better. It depends on the object and the distance from the object.
