The free model of the grounded sub is by Anders Lejczak (www.colacola.se).
The bushes are from Walli's Dry Bush pack.
Since posting this at ReRo I've adjusted the rusty hue of the sub, and decreased its saturation (I thought it was too red, and the wrong shade of red). Probably still not right, but doesn't look too bad now to my colour blind eyes.

It might help to render the sub in closeup while working on the coloring. That's difficult to do through the atmosphere's haze.
Nice work as usual John. I always have admired the texturing you do with your landscapes.

(now comes the hard part, not stamping all over your thread... :-[)

I like this a lot for its many elements of interest. Question to you John, what method did you use for the shore foam; or, is that the water transparency yielding a light color under the surface. Excellent work as always.

You've got it, Bob. That shore-foam effect came about from a slight increase of transparency from the default 0.75 to 0.9 .

Thanks John; I must try this sometime.

Nice (kind of weird) colored image , John ! I like it :)
One question... There seems like a scale problem with the sub and the brushes for me .
But this is maybe unavoidable?

Agree ... at first glance it looked like a glance on my old screen with odd colours - and I like the mood ...

schmeerlap

Yea the colours did take on a stronger contrast when I applied a shallow S curves adjustment in Photoshop.
And, yep, possibly the sub could be larger in relation to the bushes. But I'm not too unhappy with the scaling as it is.

. . . . . . . i can't figure out how to create these type of canyons :))

The canyons bit was created using GeoControl and imported into T2 as a heightfield, with the border blended to mold it in better.

Excellent colours - the strata on the outcrops are particularly fine. Great work!

Really good lookin' terrain & textures, there, John, but the 1st thing that appears to me is the scale of the sub which is a wee bit large in proportion to the trees near the mesa.  Unless it's my slightly farsighted eyes...
They're all wasted!
