I was planning to animate this scene but as it turns out it has some nasty cloud flickering issues. .. I was just wondering what are the key elements that cause the flickering and how to reduce it.. GI blur radius is surely one but it doesn't seem to be enough. Also my server is currently missing it's graphic card so I wont be rendering anytime soon but for the future I'd like to know how to make this work. Any ideas and tips are welcome!

Your not going to like this but the only way to get rid of flicker in clouds completely (and then there exceptions) is to turn off the "Acceleration cache" (set it to none) and set your relitave detail and sample quality to 0 in your render settings. Then you'll have to add in some fill lights, take a look at Oshyan's clip file for some inspiration (link). Render time will sore mostly due to the Clouds Acceleration cache but you will get rid of a lot of flicker.
Good luck :)

Thanks for the tips Cyphyr. I finally got my server fixed up so I can try different settings. I also read that blur value should be something like over 100 maybe even 300..will test these out and find some kind of settings. I do wonder tho if it could be possible to make some kind of GI baking or something in the future..
