This is a demonstration of Terragen 2's immense and diverse feature generating capabilities, not so much of my artistic prowess. I only felt the Mojoliths would serve as a suitable platform here. What is amazing to me is the levels of detail that can be achieved, from the large-scale displacements, to the almost infinitesimal ones. Altogether, there are eight (I think) different ones affecting the terrain. On the moon, which is a planet / sphere integration there are only three. The clouds are two voronoi-disrupted power fractal cirrus layers.
One new and unexpected thing I've discovered: connecting a Get Position / Sine function node link to the controller of the Mix Scalar node produces some very intriguing results, such as the patchwork texture on the moon and the "fingerprint" ridges on the terrain. I discovered it by mere experimentation and have no clue to how that works.
Once again, I only take credit for piecing together various clip files someone else created and heavily tweaking them.
