Still a WIP, hopefully I can return to that pic in near future. Mainly need to sort out lighting.

Until then, I have a little riddle for you: Where does the title (Don´t touch me) of this picture come from.

The first one to answer this question in this thread wins a hand signed ZIP containing five *.tgo files with according textures. Well, I am kidding about the handsigned, but the rest is true ;-)

Here´s a small version of the riddle picture:

And here a bigger version: http://www.wallis-eck.de/bigger3/DTM.jpg

To the NWDA gang : please no whistle blowing ;-)

Impatiens noli tangere?
Thats the name of a plant that shoots its seeds when you touch it.
the name means "Impatient don´t touch me."
I am not sure where in the image it is, the yellow ones are dandelions, aren´t they?
The bushes look like wild roses to me.
Great diversity by the way!
Anyway, thats my guess.
Best Regards,
Jan

Walli

it´s not impatiens, but you are on the track...extremly well on track..

Walli

P.S yellow is dandelion, right. And purple/blue is scilla bifolia

Walli

P.P.S and second guesses are alloweed. Also third ones and so on.

inkydigit

is it Mimosa (Mimosa pudica) or touch me not?

hibiscus noli tangere on the left!
thought about mimosa, but I didn´t see one.
Is there a rosebush on the right?
or is it also hibiscus?
It was only the red Fruit(?) in the right bush that made me think of roses (rosehips), actually the bushes really do look like Hibiscus, great work.

Jan

Is it the poison ivy, Toxicodendron
radicans?

Walli

you listed the wild roses in your first post as "content" of the picture and now describe the fruits on them, so I would say the zip goes to you ;-)

Don´t touch the wild roses because of the thorns.

Mahnmut

I see.
Ich breche dich, ich steche dich.

So there is no hibiscus? maybe i would have needed more resolution.
Thanks anyway!

Walli

I am zipping five wild roses/ dog roses, hopefully they will be useful for you!

best,
Walli

Mahnmut

One can always use a rose!
thanks a lot!

I was quite sure when I found out that there is a species called Hibiscus noli tangere,
Actually my mother (whom I asked after the impatiens turned out wrong) told me that it could be the roses!
I was to much on the names-track.
So the roses should go to my mother, what they will do when I made an image with them.
Thanks!

Forget Tuesday; It's just Monday spelled with a T

Actually I made hibiscus a while ago for a library of Xfrog that just has been released, but thats more the cultivated home owners plants, not so much the wild counterparts.

I just made a more detailed render (this time with C4D) of one of the dogroses, another one will follow soon. I hope here it gets more clear  ;)
