I don't use stratas usually, but I wantes to try something new.
So I did some strata, basic ones then add some trees climbing  and finally, I wanted to give it some "highness"... so I gave it some clouds.
Hope you'll leave some coments guys ^^

Love the scale, love the texturing , don't love the sharp strata.  But this is just a matter of taste not something that is really wrong.

Seth

hehe thanks !
funny, I likde the sharp stratas ^^
maybe you're right, just a matter of taste.
But I'll try other kind of stratas next time ;)

I like the strata here, but I agree it is too sharp. If a 2nd strata layer was added with smaller vertical inputs and less steepness and plateau settings, the sharpness could be smoothed out.

There's not much to comment, Seth, it's really quite perfect. I do like the strata, as there are not too much of them. No matter how straight they are, that happens. Perhaps a few circling buzzards in the sky will give it more life  ;)

Love the dramatic sense of scale and the bright clouds - great work!

This is perfect with the exception of the top of the mountain (above tree line) where the strata sticks out a bit too much (as being too regular). Some masking or other slight deformation would make it more believable.

Saurav

Sense of scale is amazing here.

I really like this render. I am always impressed by trees disappearing in fog slowly. Great work!
Mouthwash? We don't need no stinking mouthwash!! [MI2]

hehe thanks guys ^^
i am rendering this one again, slightly different pov, and a distance shader to get rid of the back stratas ;)
I hope it will look good !

old_blaggard

Very nice work. I always admire your great surfacing decisions with regards to the color and scale of the features. Looking forward to the update :).

mmmh... I still prefer the first one...
ok here it is.

This render coveys the scale better. But I like the first better also.
