Atangeo Balancer, a popular tool to optimize and simplify 3D models,
is now available for both Mac OS X and Windows.

Its exceptional performance and a novel user interface allow finding
perfect balance between visual appearance and the number of polygons,
quickly and easily. Balancer utilizes a high quality polygon reduction
(aka mesh simplification or decimation) to preserve the visual
appearance of your model. The model features, normals, texture
coordinates, layer boundaries are all honored by Balancer.

Balancer comes now with both 32 bit and 64 bit binaries
on both Windows and Mac OS X.

Atangeo technology is also available as an SDK.

Hope you will find Balancer useful.

I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be some kind of advertisement. ::)
They just issued a tornado warning and said to stay away from windows. Does that mean I can't use my computer?

I have already posted here, and we have several customers that use Balancer with Terragen.
So I hope your great community will find Balancer useful as well.  :)

I will try this out with a Blender object, exported as obj data.

Looks interesting, in fact I have a very large city model that could do with some poly reduction. Thanks, I'll give it a try :) By the way I could not find a price or link to the full version.

PS: personally I have no problem with relevant adverts, I'd even like an advert section of the forum, although it would be almost impossible to avoid all the Viagra and wow adverts so its a non starter.

It's in open discussion, and seems fairly useful for TG users. Thanks for the update.

Thanks for your interest.
@cyphyr
I've added 'Buy' to the main menu of the site. It was previously only in the bottom of the entry page. Thanks for pointing this out.
And our price is highly affordable :)
