Maybe too green and too dense indeed.
I think this is a very though issue you're dealing with here, because there's only one main focus and therefore that must look convincing.
So you'll need to find the right transparency shade and density, but I can't tell whether that's just 10% less or say >50% less. No idea :)

Very good!
But I don't like the water behind the surf. It looks hard
or like stone. I miss some soft, small waves, to become the surf. Sorry, I can't explain it better.
