GeoTiff work flow

Hi everyone

I have a a geotiff for the earth, but have no idea how to get into a brand new terragen scene. Does nayone know where I can find a step by step guide to getting started?

I use a free software called 3DEM

a geotiff of the entire earth?  or just a part of it?

you can load Geotiffs files directly within TG2. (with the load heightfield or load image map shader)


you mainly would want to use 3DEM if you wanted to convert a Geotiff to a .Ter terrain file
i mainly just use 3DEM for viewing geotiffs.

go to the terrain section
delete the heightfield that is there
add heightfield > load > change the format to .geoTiff then navigate to your .tif file
