As soon as Walli posted his new cactus I knew I was going to have to do something with it. I made it a few times bigger than what he had intended it to be, but I wanted it to be the main focus here. Spent a good amount of time working on a pretty nice fake stone bed and then cranked the sun elevation up to be sometime around noon so I would get some hard shadows and promptly blew out the sand and dirt altogether, oh well. Added a variety of other cacti and then rendered. Re-rendered the image using distance shaders to make a depth mask and then postworked the depth of field.
