I dug out the .tgd for this old image and added some DOF.

The DOF has been simply added to the original image from the gallery here(so, the old 2009 signature) but I have a new working version of the scene on the go too. I've changed the sky a bit and done some other minor atmosphere tweaks that aren't in this version. I'll post it when it's been rendered out.

Thanks for looking! :)

I always like forest scenes  ;)
I really like the grass in the foreground.

The low camera here delivers a nice point of view; and, enhances the scene.

Walli

the DOF works very well here!

I mostly don't like DOF in renders. I think most of them are bad used as the lens flares in the old "lens flares period" !
But i like your image  :)

One thing (more of a question for the photographers here) ; in this situation wouldn't be the nearest tree out of the sharpness range too ?

Onyx

Very nice picture !  (maybe DOF effect could even be increased to more blur the background... just an idea to experiment of course)

freelancah

It worked quite well! Definitetly brings more depth to the image!

Thanks, folks.

I kind of thought that I'd overdone the lens effect. Maybe not, however, I didn't like it so much when I'd added both a little extra and a little less blur. I went for somewhere in the middle.

I'm glad the image was well received again.

Cheers! :)

Quotein this situation wouldn't be the nearest tree out of the sharpness range too ?

I think probably yes to this aswell. It is quite sharp compared to the effect of the apparent range in the fore/background.

Should have put the model sources here too, sorry.
