Hello!

I wonder if anyone could help me.... I am a newcomer in Terragen so I still don't know some basics...

I loaded a terrain and now I want to add an image map shader but I cannot insert it where I want in the terrain.

How can I see the image map where I want? Can it be georeferenced?

Thank you so much for your attention. I hope I made myself clear.

when using the image map shader, set the location coordinates in the projection/location tab, also remember to set the projection correctly : i.e. Plan Y - you can also set the image size, also tiling etc can be done in the flip/repeat tab....
I hope this helps
cheers

Thank you, but when I change the projection type to Plan Y, my image just disappear. I´m sorry because I don´t know much about using this program.
By the way, when I add my image map shader, should I add as a colour shader or a displacement shader?
I don´t think I can connect my image map shader with the terrain....

But thank you for trying to explain..... :)

You need to have the proper XZ dimensions in the tab. By default you have 1x1 pixel image so just change those to the correct size

Indeed....choose plan Y projection and set the size to 1000x1000 meter for instance and then look again.
Make sure that the coordinates of the image map shader are within the view of your camera.
(hover with your mouse over the rendered preview and right mouse click to choose "copy coordinates"...then paste those coordinates in the image map shader and start positioning/fine-tuning from there)

Regarding positioning:
I always right click at the center of where I want the map to be and then when in the dialogue after I click Plan Y I select  Position center rather than the default Position lower left and then I enter the size of the map[proportional scaling done later in this same box] in the size fields, and paste the contents of the clipboard to the Position fields using the c&p box to the right. You should see your map just where you pointed your cursor earlier.. ...

Thank you so much everydody! Finally I am making some progress! :)

Now I finally can see my image (I also wasn't using the right image format) and play with size and position, but now I have a problem... (not just one, but for now...)
Is it possible to georeference that image?
How can I georeference with my real world terrain? :)
Thank you so much once again....I hope someone can help me :)

Did you try the forum search function , Serraov ? Try " georeference " , "geotiff" , "Dem" or what you are after .
You will get many results. If you can not find what you want or don't understand anything you can ask here again :)
