Wonderful work....it tells a story...the viewer sees and interprets that story. Nicely done!!!

Thanks! I should have the next go at it done sometime tomorrow, i've mostly been working on the shoreline to make is look more lush and realistic.

Redwolf

set the sun a bit to maybe give the mist an orangy morning glow?, excellent image

Really thats an amazing Composition, you've got most of the 12 basic rules of design in there. Very impressive, I personally cant really think of anything you don't already know to improve.

Thanks for all the kind comments! I technically had this done last night, but I apparently forgot to enable the water...floating ships looked a little weird ::) I'm really liking the near shore now, but the reeds just seem sharp to me and increasing AA or changing AA filters has not had too much of a difference, so any suggestions on that area would be appreciated. I'm going back and forth on whether I want some cumulus clouds in the upper left corner, right now I'm leaning towards no, but it just looks a bit empty without them. Thanks for looking!

Dune

Extremely handsome image! Clean and great composition.

Personally I would think that the clouds would be fairly distracting, at least for me. Personally I think this is just wonderful! I wish I had some of your skill :P

Can you send a little this way in that boat?

choronr

An inspiring image you created here.

Mor

Great composition! I wouldn't add anything.

Gannaingh

Thanks for the kind words! This is possibly the last update before I start rendering it big. I've battled back and forth on whether I should add the clouds in the upper left-hand corner but I finally decided that I wanted them, but I greatly reduced the sharpness and density of the to give them a softer and less intrusive feel. I want to play with the haze a little, to either obscure the mountain a bit more or make it more clear...I haven't decided quite yet one way or another.

This is a very pleasing image. Looking forward to the final.

Tangled-Universe

Really awesome work so far :)

Did you give all your populations a bit of tilt?
I have the impression the reeds and other stuff are standing 90 degrees straight up.
If you enter a value of ~3-5 degrees for the X or Z axis in the object maker of the populator, then each instance will be tilted a couple degrees.
I think that looks more natural.

Martin

I hadn't thought of that TU, I'll have to get it a shot to see the results.
