The Rainy Mountains (2 New Renders)

I'm a little fixated on the Alpine look right now for some reason, but I do find that its difficult to get a truly wonderful composition without getting really jagged seams or those lines that stick way up in the alpine Shader.

Anyways, here's the render:

I wanted it too look like its rain incoming, and if you look at the lake its fallen a few meters in depth. This is the first Environment I am really trying to give a story to.

A side question, does anyone know where I can get an airplane thats already made for TG2? for putting into a render or so.

This is a very nice image. The strata on the background mountains works well, reminding me of the Rockies. The subtle light on the lake edge in the middle of the image is very nice.

That´s a fabulous looking scene. Sort of looks like a Fjord scene from Norway or Finland.

Wow, thanks Oshyan and Max.

Ive been working on getting rid of the noise, as of right now I have 42 Atmosphere samples, With Raytrace atmosphere on. And Default GI.

Oh Cloud samples are 128 Samples which I thought wasnt too bad.

Thanks for the comment on the lighting, as I was testing a lot of types. Maybe the 3 light setup availible in the file sharing section of the forum?

.obj objects work fine, may be haul them through Poseray. You can import as obj, color them as you wish and save them in TG2 as tgo.

I have another render here, I finally think ive come up with a really nice Raincloud system.

I really like this composition, but i'm still not getting really realistic results from it.. Do you guys think the 3 point light setup will work better?

I personally like Render_Test_2  Very cool clouds on that scene.
The other scene is also cool too but seems dark looking and looks like a really dready bad day for mountain climbing.

Here is an idea, if you could add some effects of a rainbow in there, somewhere where the sun is shining though the
clouds it just might brighten the viewers eyes to the beauty of the scene.
A few years ago I made a quick tutorial how to create a realistic looking rainbow using Phtoshop for
some Aviation art fans, and if your interested I could always send it your way if you want to do some post-work
special effects with this image using Photoshop. Just an idea.
But I defenitly like the Render-Test-2. Came out real good to my eyes.

I like the cloud cover in your second render 'rainover', but you'd need some extra light indeed to light up the front mountains a little. A bluish fill light perhaps.

Okay, Thanks dune 
I'm optimizing the scene now as I want under 1Hr render time for a 1280x720 at very nice quality settings, its looking pretty good. I have to test out that lighting system, and try out Dunes suggestion.

I'll be at the beach today, so I'll start a 1080P render with the new lighting.
