second render of this terrain i d/l from rendo. Took 10 hours to render with RTA enabled.
desert bush and cacti I modeled myself, cacti is available on ashundar and renderosity on freestuff

I like the lighting. The sun drowns out most of the detail of the landscape. The landscape looks interesting. A wide shot with the sun in the image to one side might be better.

That is one monumental mountain monument! (repeat that 5 times really fast
it sounds
like music!)
Very cool looking render. It reminds me of "Devil“s Tower" where Spielberg made the
film "Encounters of the Third Kind". That was another cool looking tower. Yours looks great!

Wow 10 hours? what were your settings? and Micro-Triangle count?
Didnt the mountain from encounters of the third kind have a flat top though?

it had raytrace atmosphere enable checked.cos i thought the sun might make the mountain glow, as for the time it dont matter, i usually render overnight
