Terragen 2.3 render.I used some image maps to create the fields and mask the trees on the hills. The hills are supposed to be like the ones near Towanda PA in the USA. These show hard glacial scares along their sides which run north to south. This is close, I think, but not quite... Anyway, I have figured out a workflow for using image maps. This was a nice turnout for an experiment.

I used Walli's pines, Marc Gebhart's pines, maples, and chestnut. Also 3 of Walli's dry bush pack objects.

i like the shaping a lot.
It can be a good idea to change the fields color.
This green is maybe too saturate, tweaking the hue can be a goof idea too.

Put some entrances to the fields can be a good way to add a bit of realism. It can be quick to tweak this with the image map.

good job.

Very good work on scales here. It all works very well together.
I'm not very fond of the "low quality feeling", mainly caused by vivid colours and dull contrasts.
You could try to reduce haze density to make the image a bit clearer, for instance.
Rendering at lower resolution but higher quality settings would give a better result too, probably.

i like this too!, looks nice  :)

though the image quality could be better / the jpg compression kinda ruins the image.

great place for mushroom pickings...

magic mushies...:O....the hills need rock faces as to where the veg isnt growing, and the brown on the fields can be yellow perhaps to make itlook like there are buttercups/crowfoot growing there at that time of year, the brown patches look like autumn shades. I like this

The fields are supposed to be mustard plants. I learned some things from this, but I am tired of watching it render. (slow computer mostly) I would like to get the glacial ridges ro look right; I have an idea for that.

Nice render and overall good looking landscape and hills.
I really like the trees and
the areas you created...But it does not look like Towanda Pennsylvania... your
missing the INDIANS !  ;D

The indians there run businesses, farms, and do many other things. The painting you referenced was done about 1850. The indians shown look like Sioux (from the Dakotas); the indians in the Towanda area were aligned with the Iroquois.

The painting was a cool find. My Grand Aunt had an old book with many such lithographs, this was one of them. Thanks for reminding of that! 8)

I think like T-U . This image can be better as it is. I like it :)
Which Pixel filter do you use Njeneb ? It looks softer as it needs to be to me.

Henry Blewer

Catmull. I also used a high haze density which contributes to the softness.

Interesting! It looked more like Cubic B-Spline(soft) to me. Thanks Njeneb!
