Sometimes these netzines butcher an image with compression. I had a really ugly Incendia image featured in a netzine. It was cropped also. I believe it was one of the first Incendia images I made. http://webdesigncore.com/2011/02/16/30-outstanding-digital-abstract-wallpapers/

maybe its just me, but the compression on your incendia render does look as bad as the mars renders

There is more. I only let this render for about three hours. It needed at least eight. It's quite grainy as a bitmap image.
