Shapefiles
June 07, 2011, 09:10:29 AM
Hi,
I'm evaluating Terragen2 for a project and was wondering if anyone on this forum could confirm if Terragen2 can import Shapefiles? and if so, is it possible to style up shapefiles as say roads or area fills?
Thanks....

Currently you wont be able to use shapefiles natively but you could rasterize your files and use those..Ofcourse thats not the same but yeah..

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if its possible to import georeferenced images so it will snap into place on a DEM?

Yes, if the data you're using contains geotiff data then you can use georeferencing.
These options are available in the "heightfield load" operator which you use for loading your terrains/DEMS (you can use this same operator to open image files to use as terrains).
