not really, but that is the only solution I can give you for flicker free animation so far :)
and I tried a lot of settings 10 hours a day the last 2 months, but the fill lights (as Oshyan's file) is the only working solution for all kind of animations ;)

Seth i am not sure , maybe it is discussed here before , but did you tried to render to 2 times the required resolution ?
Say for 800 x 600 to render in 1600 x 1200.
Of course some settings should be lower to not make the render time too long.
Unfortunately this could offset the potential benefits .
I can not test these things. Just curious :)

errrr... i am rendering 720HD so.... it might be difficult to render it twice bigger, considering the render time (time=money).
Plus, the fill lights techniques looks good enough, so I keep myself out of GI right now ;)
but I remember this discussion too...

I have some settings now that seem to work very well. 12 minutes per frame render time. No atmosphere flicker. I'll post the tgd when I have the animation fully rendered. Image size is 720 x 480.
