Hey I'm new' been messing with the free TG2 for awhile and thought I'd see what some more talented people had to say about what i've done.  ;D[attachthumb=#] Trees by Walli and grass was from mrlamppost's grass pack.

Both pictures are very interesting. The clouds in both of your pictures are very interesting as well. The first clouds look like ... a tsunami! ;) Nice work here.
Heard of computer graphics? CG? Terragen 2, the landscape generating program, also known as TG, a whole cool way to create realistic CG - with TG.

Thanks! I was pretty happy with how they turned out. Takes forever to render once you up the quality a bit though.  :D

The clouds might take less render time if they were to have different scale settings. I think of how far away the cloud is. Far clouds do not need the default smallest scale of 10 normally. 25 or even 50 will do the trick. More detail can be added using the cloud functions tab by using the Final density modulator. When that looks ok, thy the Edge sharpness in the clouds Main Tab to add more detail.

Yeah I feel like the clouds in the first one looked a little "busy" and i think that was partly do to the scale being on the smaller side, so i'll try upping that a bit and see how it turns out. Thanks for the tip!

It's easier to start with larger scales (and quicker render and preview time) to use larger scales first. Anything 25,000+ meters away can use larger scale. Then adjust it back down until it looks right.
