Not what you think, though  ;) I will have to darken the smoke, for one.

I like the scene and lighting a lot. Would like to see the smoke widen gradually as it elevates.

Looks good. With a darker and widening smoke it could look more dangerous I think.

I agree about the smoke...
and wouldn't there be a shadow of the smoke on the terrain?

With this lighting, the only part of the terrain that could receive a shadow from the sun is already in shade.
Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Ironically, just after reading this latest thread, someone sent me pictures of a Chilean volcano eruption.

Awesome clouds, but I'm not that far yet. One day perhaps.....  Still struggling to get these bulbous, fat cauliflower structures.
