Tried to produce something moderately realistic....and 90% happy. thoughts anmd comments welcome...

It needs some lighting where the sun is blocked by the trees. Try increasing the gamma and contrast in the render settings. The sky will whiten out. The POV is for the creek and the foliage along it, so the whitened out sky should be fine. (You can decrease the enviro light on the sky also. Helps to keep  the sky from going all white with high gamma settings)

Hmm.. Wrong forum section? Anyhow nice work. I think the leaves look a bit too "repeating" like there is too little variation, especially in the parts that are hit by direct light. But still nice work!

Thanks all - yes, I should have put this in the Image Sharing section :( Will have a play with the lighting - it is as you say, too dark, and I ned to intersperse with some different trees :)

Nice picture!  ;)  Is this somewhere in Texas?  I think increasing Gamma a little will help, without losing too much color.

Hi - the location is total fantasy but is based on Scotland :) Glad you like it.
