Looked up Plovers in Phoenix area - they are called 'Killdeer Plovers'; and, they look just like the ones in your picture.

The second render is very impressive.
Mouthwash? We don't need no stinking mouthwash!! [MI2]

Yep, render 2 is smooth! 8)
It has been eaten.

Killdeer are different, they have the two bands, and have different colors. These are golden plovers (the Eurasian subspecies), breeding in Northern tundras, migrating in 100.000's through our Wadden Sea.

What is odd about our Killdeer is you only see them in one area occasionally - that being on the north side of a mountainside. I've never seen them anywhere else in our area.

Dune

Maybe there are no deer to kill on the other side  :D Sorry about that silly joke. Maybe they're not as common, I don't know.

Lovely render - as someone else mentioned, TG2 is not just about creating huge alpine scenes, it's also awesome at micro scenes and this scene is smashing! A moorhen or coot would add some colour - as a matter of interest, where can you get hold of these bird objects? There is a swan on one of the forums, but I haven't seen many birds available? Thanks Dune.
Every problem is an opportunity, but there are so many opportunities it is a problem!

Have a look at the NWDA site. I've got some birds there for a few $$. I will probably add these as well later on.

Jonathan

Thanks Dune - I will have a look :)
