Hi All
I want to be able to run a terragen2 batch job from the command line, as opposed to opening up the gui, and then the file and hitting the render button.  is this possible for animation or only for 1 frame?
Cheers,
Jason

Terragen 2 supports commandline rendering natively. If you have the animation version then you can render sequences from the commandline, if you have Deep only then it would just support single frame rendering. The free version does not support commandline rendering. Documentation for commandline usage is on the /docs folder of your Terragen 2 install (i.e. "win_command_line.txt").

We bought Terragen2 with animation  w/xfrog plants bundle so I thought we had it, but the docs say frame ranges are not supported (yet)?  Is there some other way to get it working?

Checking our change logs, I think the frame range support may be an upcoming 2.4 feature. Sorry about that. If you need range support sooner we may be able to send you a 2.4 build prior to final release, but it would require signing an NDA and you would of course be using a pre-release version (although testing has shown it to be very stable already). Also keep in mind that you could simply make multiple TGDs with different frame ranges specified in the sequence/output tab and render those separately to get appropriate ranges. This does not work that well with render farms or queue managers though.

Its a brunt force method, but I can do the separate .tgd thing for now.   Im looking forward to this new release sounds great!
