Time to play while waiting for the historian, so here's another aurora version.

very nice and frosty looking...cool!

good one, like it! It's not the focal part of the scene, but I'd like to say the trees came out nicely.

nice ground :)
I hope to see more details of that sand wave kind of ground

Nice work! Aurora is very, very close to reality. The trees look great not so sure about the snow though - at first glance I thought it was sand.

Much better than the ones in Skyrim. Great color!

Well, it is sand, with some remaining frost here and there. The only thing is that it came out a little too roughly grained

Great render, the aurora is very realistic.
Wasn't sure what stuff was covering the ground: Snow or sand. But from your comment I know now it's sand. Agree it's a bit too grainy and I'd think those ripples are a bit too much too. Now they look like they are caused by water, not wind. Reducing the ripple height might help.

I agree, it's not a happy mix of nodes. Like always this starts out as a basic terrain where I add some clips, change a little here and there, etc. Not much thought behind it.

Sand it is. I stand corrected once again!
