Hello everyone
Consider buying the MegaBundle, but are there any plugins that work with C4D R13?
camerasync,animation export,collada,fbx?

TG2 has basic terrain geometry export in OBJ format. No texture information is exported at this time. We do plan FBX or similar support in the future. Initially it would be confined to basic data like camera and sun/light positions. There are no specific plugins to work with TG2 and C4D that I'm aware of.

You would need to ask Xfrog (or on their forum) for info about Xfrog software compatibility with C4D. I know they do have a C4D version, but not sure if it's updated for R13 yet.

Sorry for the late response
There are xfrog5 for C4D r13,will that work with TG2?
Can you also tell me which 3D software that are easiest to integrate with Terragen,in accordance with the camera in / out?

TG2 does not integrate directly with Xfrog, but models in OBJ and TGO format are compatible with TG2. I don't know the capabilities of the Xfrog software for C4D, but I would assume you could export to OBJ since C4D can do so. If you can get a model into OBJ format, it is compatible with TG2. If you have additional Xfrog-specific questions, it's best to ask Xfrog or their user forum about them.

TG exports geometry in standard formats (OBJ and LWO) that nearly every 3D app is compatible with. Likewise TG imports OBJ data, which most apps support. For camera information, TG only currently imports the Nuke CHAN format, which some other 3D apps do support. I don't know the specific capabilities or plugins of all the 3D apps, but I've seen users having success with Maya, 3DS Max, and others. There is a plugin for 3DS Max that makes data exchange a bit easier between TG2 and Max, so that could be a compelling factor, but other than that most 3D apps are equally easy to integrate with TG2 since generally standard formats are used.

Ok, thank you
One last question, have read that Terrage have a real camera, then you can just use a camera tracker example "syntheyes" to get the camera movement in to any 3D package?
pfffth one more, does the camera suport DOF?

Thanks
Henrik

I don't really know if a camera tracker could be used, but I don't see why not.

DoF is not supported at this time.

You might want to have a look at this thread regarding Xfrog 3.5, Xfrog 5 CINEMA 4D plugin, and the Terragen Megabundle. http://xfrog.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10582

CINEMA 4D R14, which on the basis of previous releases will be released in the September / October timeframe, will have a plug-in to export to Nuke.

Not sure if Terragen will be able to leverage that.

Oshyan, I'm wondering if you guys should get in touch with MAXON on this, if you could save out .chan files from C4D then camera export from C4D to Terragen would work in the same way as for Maya? My thinking is that MAXON must be exporting the camera data in the plug-in, so it might be quite easy for them to add .chan export.

Hello penboack
There was good news (starting to learn Nuke this fall, so it is great))
Did you Buy  the Mega Bundle with Xfrog 5.0 Cinema plugin? Is it straightforward to tweak plants in Cinema and exporte to Terragen?
