TG2 on TV?

Last resport: can you try reducing acceleration settings in the graphics card driver? I'm not sure if this works the same on Vista actually, but give it a try if you can. Obviously this isn't a permanent solution but for troubleshooting purposes it could be helpful.

Unfortunately I don't have Vista to reference at the moment. In XP it's in Display Properties -> Settings tab -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot tab -> Hardware Acceleration and it should be a slider. It's not actually a part of the graphics card's control panel utility, it's an OS thing.
