"Runnett Bag Creek"
Runnett Bag  is a tributary of Philpott lake in Virgina, where I spent much of my time canoeing as a college student. Canoe created in Blender. Plants are modified vendor models or my originals).

Great reflection!

Little dark over all though. Necessary for the reflection? Good scene idea.

In August and September,  the undergrowth takes on a darker aspect as sunlight slants more and shadows lengthen, especially in early morning, so the dark/light ratio changes somewhat.  And, I did want dark areas to emphacise the sunlight.
But other people made similar comments to yours, and last night I viewed this image on a computer at my Church and I was surprized by how dark it appeared.  So I'm trying to find something that will let me adjust my monitor to a "standard view" (whatever that might be). Thanks for the feedback!

So, I recalibrated the monitor and now the image definatly looked too dark.  I wanted to keep the deep shadow aspect of early morning, and finally went with an arrangement of 3  additional lights in the background for distance illumination, which still kept the deep shadows in the near field. Also reduced the reflection somewhat on the streambank pebbles.

Thanks TheBadger. That was a good call.

I am impressed with this image. Yes, a bit dark; but, the contrasts are striking. The transition of the shoreline to water is a bit sharp. Maybe add wetness at this point by darkening the gravel.
