Hi guys, not posted for ages (been laid up with a badly broken leg since early August with no easy access to a computer).
This pic was inspired by a get well card I received and makes use of Walli's new young hazel trees from NWDA.
Logs are from Sonshine777 I think, leaves from Ashundar and deer from Curious Labs.
C&C welcome.

mhaze

superb! the only suggestion I have is that the distribution and density of the fallen leaves looks a little too regular.

Tu devrais peut-être varier la taille des arbres. Par, l'option "object scale" Minimum scale à 0.8 et maximum 1.2, ça changera un peu la taille, mais aléatoirement.  ;)

Perhaps you should vary the size of trees. For the option "object scale" Minimum and maximum scale to " 0.8 / 1.2 ", it will change a little size, but randomly.

efflux

This is cool. Maybe you could decrease the mist contrast and coverage and make the size bigger. Make it more subtly changing. I think it has a tendency to look more like smoke unless it's more subtle.

Super lighting, but my main concern is the dwarf deer  :o The young hazel are not that large, aren't they. Or are the large trees something else? Anyway, I think the deer might be a little larger (twice).

TheBadger

like the scene a lot! Just needs some tweeking here and there. Hope you take this one as far as you can.
It has been eaten.

Nice render!

Just one little thing, the logs appear to be floating slightly above the surface.
Or is it just my poor vision  :P
Why stop dreaming when you wake up?

Nice scene !
I like the sun rays and the colors.

TerrMite

Gives me a good feeling of autumn.

Great colours!

Thanks for all the positive comments and suggestions guys. Here's another take on the scene which should satisfy most of the suggestions. The sun is a bit higher so this one's late morning! Credits as before with the addition of Wallis ferns.
Merry Xmas

Dune

Great! But are they pronghorns? Pronghorn live in grasslands, brushlands and deserts, so for authenticity you might need to get your chainsaw out  :D"

Kevin F

Well spotted Dune! but what you don't know is that it's based on a scene from my own estate where I've imported a small group of Pronghorns, which are doing really well. So the trees are safe :D

TheBadger

Like the God rays too.
It has been eaten.
