I tried to make a realistic forest with grass :P I'm fairly new to Terragen 2 so please don't judge to hard xD[attachimg=1]

Dune

Your forest edge is great, the different species make it very nice. But I have an opinion about the rest; I would add more haze to make the image not so harsh, and make higher clouds and several layers of them. The hard white/blue is distracting. And if you'd make the fuzzy zone of the snow larger (from 100m(?) to maybe 300 or more), the line of snow/no snow would further soften the image.

Now I've increased the Haze to 3.0 and increased the snow fuzzy zone is increased to 300 from 150. I also added 3 more cloud layers.
Does it look better?

FrankB

yes, that's a definite improvement!

TheBadger

It has been eaten.

Dune

Yes, definitely, but the sky is still not 'perfect'. Why not blend the cloud fractal by a larger fractal to get patches of cloud, it'll break up the regularity. Or use some larger clouds in one layer. Hit seed a few times or raise the feature size from 150 to 1000 or so, also play with the fractal's roughness (increase it make wilder edges).

PillarOfAutumn

Now I made the clouds bigger :) Does it look better ?

Dune

I think it does. But what do you think yourself?

PillarOfAutumn

When i compare the fist and third image I see a significant improvement on the 3rd image

I definitely like the 3rd more, a clear improvement. The bigger clouds are more realistic as well as more dramatic. The haze adds a realistic sense of distance and "weight" to the image.
