I have a planet in one file that I would like to use as a moon in another scene. I would like to use the planet's surfacing but I can't import the saved tgc in a way allowing me to connect the nodes to the second planet object. Is there a way to do this?

Will

I might be able to help but counld you be  a little more descriptive?

The world is round... so you have to use spherical projection.

Well, I have two tgd files, each with a planet that I've worked on. I would like to import one planet into the other file to use it as a moon. In order to do this, I saved the planet's surfacing as a tgc and tried to import it into the other to file so I could attach it to a second planet object. However, the tgc is imported into the main node window instead the the upper level nodes of the second planet object. So all of my surfacing can't be connected to the planet it's meant for. Does this clear it up a bit?

Will

copy it and then go into your second planet and paste. Thats what I do.

haha yep, if you can have 2 open at the same time just copy past till you get all the way you want is what I just did for a entry in something I was working on as well /smiles...I do not think all CPU's and or Ram will let everyone do this though.
