Hi. new question.
I was looking at the road contest entries that have cars in them, or other objects that if they were real would move.
Of course I can see that the wheels are not moving, the image suggests a camera with a fast shutter, in photo real terms.
for my entry I also plan to have non terrain elements, and I feel like it would be good to at least attempt to give blur to specific objects at varying degrees.
I saw Hannes' thread and the conversation about the rotors on his helicopters. And I am guessing that could also be used on wheels.
My question is how *could* this be done in terms of more complex movements? For example, a projectile over a still terrain with a motionless camera?
Or more to my immediate needs, a character, human/or animal in fast motion, from a still camera.

So I know there are topics here for DOF. But Thats not what I am asking about. And I know there is software to add motion blur to animation and video, I am presuming that deals with video that contains object or people that are actually moving. So what about adding blur to simulate movement on an object or figure, that is not moving, but posed as such?
Any ideas or links on this? I don't think I have ever seen a thread anywhere that talk about simulating blur in this mannor for a still image. Yet I have seen lots of still images with blurred motion.
