First, the good news:
Ringworld and Childhood's End are both going to be made into mini-series for tv broadcast.
Now, the bad news:
Sy-Fy channel is the one making the mini-series.

There were no particulars, just the announcement.
I just hope they don't use the cheesy FX they use in their weekly monster movies.
You should read Childhood's End.............very good.

Is that Arthur C. Clarke's Childhood's End?
If so, I read that when I was a teen. I remember throwing that book across the room when I finished with it. Well written ... but I found it depressing.

Yes, it is. The last time I read it was probably around 1970. Damn, that's a long time ago.

I read Ring World around 1970. Talk about climate change. There would be no coriolis effect or seasonality. And who could possibly build or maintain such a structure or protect it from such things as comets?
