Here is the first WIP.
the sky is almost the same, the lighting too.
But the terrain a bit boring.

I prefer that teint of blue though.

edit : the second one is the original without postwork

Hannes

Looks great! I prefer the first one (without postwork)

yossam

I agree with Hannes, definitly.

Very nice. You seem to have go light coming through the clouds to illuminate some of them really well which is what happens in reality. I've found this to be tricky because of overall eveness of cloud fractal shapes which leads to completely blocking light too much at many angles.

Hetzen

Really nice work Seth. Thanks for showing how the neutral render can be manipulated. 203 hrs sounds like an optimisation challenge, but that effect you have is noisless.

Quote203 hrs
Where did it say that? I cant find it. Is that correct?
It has been eaten.

Seth

Yes it is. But I didn't say it here :)
That render was a stress test on stability.
So there is uselessly high values on several settings (like details, atmosphere etc...), the render was paused and restart at least ten times, I watched movies, played videogames and was websurfing during rendering, etc...
Terragen kept on rendering, without any errors.

I forgot to ask, are the trees procedural, Franck?
the render is beautiful, 203 hours... you have patience!!
