New User Details

I got an email from Planetside Software this morning with this message, I do not understand what it is for.

You have been added as a User to Planetside Software by an Administrator.

This email contains your username and password to log in to http://planetside.co.uk/

From what I understand, I can login into my account on the Planetside website but what is the purpose of that?

As written in the email you have to go to planetside website http://planetside.co.uk/
at the bottom of the page click on "login" then use username and password on login page.
then you're logged

yes I figured that much but I was wondering about the true purpose of logging in and why cant we use the same login as the forums?

It's so you can keep up to date with the latest 3.x upgrades, change your package up from a lower grade package, you'll probably be able to request replacement key's should you loose yours and submit support queries.

Should be active now. It's to automatically check your upgrade status for TG3 and future versions. Right now it will only show new purchases moving forward, but we may add historical records at some point. We do also hope to merge it with the forum access at some point, but that won't be for a little while unfortunately.

There will be some other services based on this login in the future too...
