The title is a nod to an old image in that i used the same method the first time .
Great users here used interesting things done with clouds earlier.
I was sure that i had to visit that kind of method and image ones more especially with the new features in TG 3.
But it did not begun with that in my mind.
I tried to make a very basic image that had only a ground layer and basic clouds in the background.
Then came planets, then asteroids, different kind of objects and lost a render to electric power cut etc.

It took 2 weeks. I may render this later ones more with different lighting etc. But for now i got tired.

No polygons were harmed....

Sorry had to use that :)
There are no objects here .Only textures and clouds.
That flying thingies are clouds too.
I wanted to see that cloud-objects from my old image from underneath and if they can work or not.

Thanks Yossam :)

The displacements on the planets are clouds too by the way.
There was no need but i wanted to try.
Except the ground everything else is made from clouds.

I had a last try to make the ground from clouds too but got tired of the image

Here is the first image i made and another from i don't know which phase.
There were many more but only this two are kinda nice.
Too me at least !

I could not get the second one to work as i wanted.
It nearly was the finished work.

The other pics are good too, but that last image I would really like to see that bigger.  :-*

Here you go Yossam :)

Thank you................... ;)

Oshyan

That last image is fan-freaking-tastic. Creative and beautiful.

1st one's very inventive, but that last one is a peach!

Dune

Awesome, Kadri. These are really breathtaking. So the first skyship thing is cloud too? Very dense and masked by image maps? If so, cool!

mhaze

Last one is stunning!

Kadri

Thanks all!

"Very dense and masked by image maps"  Yes Ulco .
You only need a image map shader in the "Density Shader" input to get those kind of shapes.
When you play with the "Coverage adjust" it makes the black parts in the image go away and all you need is high Edge sharpness and cloud density.
This basic setup is pretty easy. Then you can play whatever you want with the other settings and inputs .

Dune

I thought so, thanks Kadri. Did it take long to render? Heavy cloud usually does, but these layers are quite thin as I can see. You could also warp them vertically by using the density offset, a reduced color gradient or constant color and some PF.

#12

The first one took 2 hours or so to render Ulco.
1080x1080 then cropped with 0.8 Detail , AA 5 .
I was afraid too about render times .
There are 10 cloud layers in the image but considering TG3's render times i think this is pretty fast.
And yes there are many other possibilities  too :)

Hannes

Really cool! And very unusual. Great, Kadri!
