This is still very much a work in progress.  There is quite a bit of work to be done to the cliffs and the dry river bed as well as the overall lighting but I figured I'd throw it out here for any suggestions or comments.

Dune

Interesting to see this develop, Ryan. Regarding the dry river bed; isn't it a bit strangely ending behind/under the cliff? Where's it coming from or going to? I think that needs some more logic.

Hannes

Agree with Ulco. The POV could be improved. Otherwise nice cliffs.

Antoine

It looks already impressive !
Could you briefly give some tips on how you manage to do these cliffs ?

David.

Oshyan

Very good texturing already on the cliffs, it looks a lot like the granite you'd see in some place like Yosemite. The river bed's rocks look a bit odd to me, need more variety of size, some smaller rocks to fill in the gaps, and maybe fewer toward the center overall. Very promising scene in general though.

Already an exceptional image....overall blue tint....blue implies cool and is pleasing to the eyes. The terrain looks European...like it could be Greece or even perhaps Yugoslavia. Agree with comments about the river bed....the background has mountains not an ocean or lake....where is it going? I'm sure you will make its scale and its direction fit in its proper place and this landscape will be used as a TG example of perfection...:) Keep on man...can't wait to see the final!

Love the cliff surface.  As Oshyan suggested, maybe some more variety in the rocks

TheBadger

Like granite, with a bit of quarts!!
It has been eaten.

Thanks everyone for all the really great suggestions.  Will have an update in a couple days.
