Give you 2 guesses what the title stands for....................... :D

Real Big Clouds? Hehe. I'm have to say though that I really love the terrain and texturing here, less so the clouds. I'd be curious to see this without the clouds entirely, or maybe just some high cirrus. The clouds make the scene look "cramped" and kind of smaller than I think it really is (or should be). Removing the clouds, or making them high cirrus, should "open things up". I'd be curious to see if that's true, at least...

The clouds themselves look quite odd to me , but the shadowing of the landscape is very nice.
You could maybe disable the primary of that cloud node, keeping those secondary shadows working, and build some other clouds to be the visible ones.

Here you go Oshyan.....................

I still like the first one more. Maybe less contrast in them would help.

Oshyan

Mmm, difference of opinion, hehe. I like the clearer feeling in the new one, greater sense of scale and open space, but agree the sky is not quite right. The terrain and texturing still looks great, regardless. I leave it to you to determine how best to finish this one off, but to me the ground is largely "there", unless you want to add vegetation. Just a matter of figuring out what to do with the sky...

Thanks for the positive comments.................it lets me know I'm doing something right.  8)

Archonforest..............I have been using this program since V.9. It's been many years.............all I can tell you is practice, practice, practice. And listen to the people that know more about this program than I do. Learn how to do your texturing and your lighting (which is easier in TG3................thank you Planetside!). The rest will follow............

One last thing............don't be afraid to post your renders. The advice you get will help you more than anything else. If you don't know how to do something............ask. I'm sure someone will be glad to help. This is the best forum I have ever been a member of...............period.  ;)

Wow - the texturing and terrain are really fabulous!

yossam

Oshyan...............you wanted to see the scene without clouds.  :)

Oshyan

Hehe, thanks! Since the terrain remains my favorite part, I kind of like it without any clouds, but I'd say then it's a bit stark or even imbalanced. Either it does need clouds, or it suggests some change in perspective/camera view. But the previous image was good as it was, others seemed to agree, so no need to continue indulging me. ;) I'll just reiterate: great terrain and texturing!
