Hello friends,
are there, that you know, some plugin to load on Terragen 3 in order the program generates optical effects such as Rainbows, Sun Dogs, Iridescence and Sun pillars? It would be nice to be able to do in the program to ensure that then the rendering shows all reflections caused by really in the ambient: e.g. the sea, lakes etc. In the functions of brightness and light of the clouds i did not find anything of the kind and even in the options of the sunlight.
Thanks for any suggestions.

There are no such plugins at this time. Most of the effects you mention are atmospheric, often occurring in the high atmosphere, and so are generally unaffected by sea, lake, etc. reflection or other scene elements. Rainbows would be most affected by more "local" influences, but other than that I think you can get very good results by just compositing output from Halosim: http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/halfeat.htm

Yes, it would be useful to have these things in the render so that they can be reflected in lakes etc.

A few people here on the forum have developed rainbow effects using function nodes. A search for "rainbow" shows up some interesting results.

Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Couldn't light pillars be created with the spot light, if not a sun pillar?

Hi Badger,
Maybe, but i have found that spot light has problems of noise frequently. I will try this but with many doubts.

As to rainbows, sun dog, iridescence etc, however, are impossible to do without post editing, for me.
If i have them in this way, however, are not reflected in the water, this is my crack-head problem. :(
Greetings.

Note:
On the other hand i don't understand why TG does not render by default, these effects, others do. Perhaps there are software problems? I would like to understand why, given that in the past in the FAQs they also spoke of these things.
