My first Terragen 3 render...proof for myself.

This is a render I did a few months ago, which I've decided to show in hope it might be of interest to other newcomers to Terragen. It was my first render with TG3 after getting used to it, and the first time I smiled and thought 'Oh wow..this is totally going to work'.
I had started out to compare TG3 to Vue 11, which I had worked with for months and months and finally grew too frustrated with to continue. This image was done working from the same terrain and a similar perspective as a render I had previously made with Vue. Not to bash Vue, but it took many hours to get the one image, which meant rendering several frames would have been unworkable (even without all the crashes). After finally feeling comfortable enough with TG3's node-based interface (which is not difficult, just different from Vue's interface), I rendered this image, which amazingly only took about an hour.
My humble opinion, to anyone who needs terrain, is that TG3 is wholly incredible for usefulness, stability, and results. Someday I hope to try the animation possibilities, perhaps TG will have wind animation, but for now I can composite some Maya effects for foreground animation, though I'm already curious about importing/exporting cameras and how that works with Maya. Still, though I know this image may not be perfect, I am very happy with it and think it is gorgeous (and it looks every bit as good, and better to me, that the Vue image.)
Thanks Matt, and everyone..

Nice image, and it's great to hear the background and your overall experience with the software too.
