A rework of Dune's Mountain Road Complete. Wetness alludes to a dirt road after a heavy rain the night before as a driver traverses a slick, muddy road, hydroplaning along the way trying to avoid running off into a ditch.

•   Dune Mountain Road Complete available at NWDA.
•   Grass clumps .tgo are contained for use in Terragen 3.
•   Dune's tundra heather .tgo models (two different versions used here) available for download at the Planetside forum - do a search.
•   J. Meyer's LR110 vehicle available for download at the Planetside forum - do a search.
•   Walli's Gnarly Poplar available at http://www.silva3d.com/ .
•   Buck Deer; thanks Mark.

Many thanks to Dune (Ulco) for his help along the way; and, to J. Meyer for his help to get the LR110 lights to appear properly.

This has been an excellent learning journey.

Dune

It worked out really well, Bob. Great render.

The only issue I now see is the 'conflict' between the water shader in the ditch and the reflective shader on the track, the thin white line. You always have that when they interact. To get that away you might take the reflectiveness at that roadside out using the same 'verge' shader mask (after warping) as feeds the water plane.

Thanks Ulco, will have a look at that. This was a 12 hour render; but, I've got to get it right.

Really nice render Bob.
I especially like the vegetation.
Too bad about that reflection line thing, hope you can get rid of it.
Keep it up!

Thank you Jochen. I'm trying to find the connection that causes the issue.

Thank you. Hope to resolve the issue related to the reflection.

TheBadger

I especially like the look of the grass along the road on the right side.
It has been eaten.

Thanks Michael. That is the grass clump .tgo you get with Terragen 3. Size it and color it to your liking. With close spacing it makes great ground cover. It works well for distant shots like this. However, for close ups, use another model.

zaxxon

The vegetation is very well done, all in all a very fine image. The lights in the rover came out great.

Thank you sir, this was again, another great learning experience. Yes, thanks to Jochen and to Ulco for all their help. Still trying to correct a few things.

Very nice scene, I really enjoy the varying panorama of vegetation broken by the road.

One thought,  it's been driving up a wet dirt road so much mud spatter must be shown on the vehicle, tires, lights, windows.

Thank you. I will be working trying to get some mud details on the truck; and, a few other things.
