Hi everyone,

I am currently looking to purchase the $199 version Creative, but before doing so first need some help.

I have spend arduous hours finally cracking how to work with DEM data files, and using 3DEM utility converted them into .ter files which I have successfully managed to place and use from the library.

The terrain renders perfectly and I'm excited I found a product I believe can be the right one for my project.

The issue I am having is for the life of me I cannot find this feature:

I've looked everywhere by cannot seem to find the simple step of exporting the height map.

I am trying to use this to create levels in Unreal Engine 4, so ideally I just need the height map which I can work with inside Unreal Engine 4.

Is there perhaps someone kind enough and knowledgeable to point me in the direction of an useful article, tutorial or give some guidance?

I apologize if this has been raised before!

Please have a look here:

That feature is in the render node, sequence/output tab.
But the version you want to buy might not have it.
Planetside will answer here shortly probably.
The microexporter exports an OBJ file.
Not sure if it is that what you want from your post.

Wow quick response and I can't believe I missed that! Thanks I was looking at that feature list just last week :)

Seem like I will just need to get the Professional then - but its worthwhile investment to be sure!

Also note: no need to translate files using 3DEM anymore, Terragen 3 natively loads more formats than 3DEM does. ;)

It keeps getting better and better! Thanks I will certainly investigate that.

Sure most of the folks know this I found a complete world coverage of DEM in .hgt format.
